Retail & supplements

A gym retail POS for the fridge, the shelf and the shaker bar

GetGymPOS includes a full retail POS: scan or tap products, sell with variations such as flavour and size, track stock per location with low-stock alerts, record expiry dates on supplements, and attach the sale to a member so you know who buys what. Memberships and retail ring up on the same receipt.

Definition Product variation
A variation is a version of one product that differs by an attribute, such as a whey protein in chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, each in 1 kg and 2 kg. Each variation has its own barcode, price and stock, but reports roll them up under one product.

How it works

How does retail & supplements work?

  1. Add products

Import a spreadsheet or scan barcodes one by one; add cost, price, tax, photos.

  2. Set variations and expiry

Flavour and size variations; lot and expiry dates on tubs and bars.

  3. Print labels

Barcode labels for items without one (shakes, merch, towels).

  4. Sell at the till

Scan or tap, attach the member, take payment, print or skip the receipt.

  5. Reorder on time

Low-stock alerts and purchase orders to your supplier.

What can a gym sell through GetGymPOS?

Protein, pre-workout, creatine, bars and RTD shakes; water, isotonic drinks and coffee; towels, locks, gloves, wraps, straps, belts; branded apparel in sizes and colours; and services such as body-composition scans or locker rental.

How is stock tracked?

Stock is tracked per location, adjusted with every sale, purchase and stock transfer. Supplements can carry lot numbers and expiry dates, and stock reports show what is expiring so you can discount it before it is wasted.

Can members get a member price?

Yes. Use customer groups or selling-price groups to give members a percentage off, or a separate price list for staff.

Can members earn points?

Turn on reward points and members earn points on purchases and redeem them as a discount later. It works well for shakes bought several times a week.

What it doesn't do (yet)

Saying no up front saves you a bad surprise after you switch.

  • Card payments run through your own processor and card reader; we don't sell card terminals.
  • Shipping online orders is up to you; the online store supports collection at the gym by default.

Retail & supplements: questions

Is GetGymPOS a full retail POS or just a membership tool?

A full retail POS: products, variations, barcodes, stock per location, purchases, suppliers, returns and receipts, in the same login as memberships.

Can I track supplement expiry dates?

Yes. Products can carry lot numbers and expiry dates, and stock reports show items approaching expiry.

Does it work with a barcode scanner?

Yes, any USB or Bluetooth scanner that types like a keyboard. See the hardware guide.

Can I sell to walk-ins who are not members?

Yes. Leave the customer as walk-in, or create a quick customer record if they want points.

Can I see which members buy the most?

Yes. Sales are linked to the customer, so you can report purchases per member.

Can I sell the same products online?

Yes. Your online store is generated from the catalogue, with the same prices and stock.

How do returns work?

Process a sell return against the original sale; stock goes back and a refund or credit is recorded.

Can I give staff a discount?

Yes. Use a staff customer group or price group, and restrict who can apply manual discounts with roles.
